Nanobiotechnology department was added to the Faculty of Biological Sciences in 2007. Nanobiotechnology is terms that refer to the intersection of nanotechnology and biology. It refers to a particular application of nanotechnology and also refers to build new tools to study biological systems. The members are combination of distinguished professors and young research scientists who awarded a few local and national prize in field of nanobiotechnology such as Razei or kharazmi award. The Department of Nanobiotechnology at TMU has 11 faculty members having 4 full professors, 3 Associate professors and 4 Assistant Professors. 53 PhD students are presently studying and doing research at this department and about 5 students annually admitted to begin their study here each year.
